What is a Lab Created?
A lab created gem is one that has been manufactured in a controlled laboratory environment. Using the popular methods and acceptable scientific that optically look like earth-mined diamonds, contain the same chemical and physical attributes and many of ITS AUCTION here at HI/BID receive certification through the best accredited gemologist across the world.
Are Lab Gems Real?
Oh yes lab gems are just as real as diamonds in many ways that are mined from the earth. They have shape, size, color and clarity grades, just like Natural Diamonds. Both Natural and Lab Grown Diamonds have the same physical and chemical properties and both can come with certifications.
Lab Creation vs. Natural - What do the Experts Say?
Visually, Natural, Lab Grown Diamonds and lab moissanites are the same with the same hardness level and durability with only a difference of .80 on scale. In 2018 the gemological society recognized Lab creations are legitimate gems and are real. All of our lab created gems will test as real. On simpler diamond testers they show full diamond hardness. On better quality diamond testers, they will show the hardness at 9.20 right next to natural diamonds that are 10. In fact, the growth and favoritism of lab creation laboratory-grown gems since 2007. Beginning in 2019, Laboratory-Grown Reports and identification reports no longer use the term “synthetic.” The Laboratory-Grown Report includes the standard color, clarity and cut grading scales for reference purposes.”
