The Husqvarna Vapenfabriks M-40 is a Valmet L-35 produced in Sweden under licence. The Lahti L-35 is a Finnish Military pistol designed by legendary gunsmith Aimo Lahti, as a pistol that could be produced domestically and work reliably in the extreme cold of the Finnish Lapland, lending iself equally to Swedish winters. An aspect of this is the addition of a bolt accelerator, more common in construction of machine guns to speed rate of fire. The bolt accelerator in a Lahti is presented in the form of a crank lever which strikes the bolt of the pistol as it unlocks from firing, making a mechanical force aid in cycle of the action rather than simply relying on the momentum generated by the fired cartridge to cycle the action by itself. The pistol looks similar visually to the luger P08, already in Finnish service by the time of the commission of the L-35, but operates in a very different manner; with a concealed single action only hammer and a reciprocating bolt rather than a toggle. The biggest difference between the l-35 & M40 is the omission of a loaded chamber indicator on the latter. This pistol is in excellent condition and is fortunare to come in the original Crown over HV Stamped holster alongside 3 magazines, a takedown tool, and cleaning rod. Following the end of World War two, Yugoslavia had in their possession a number of kar98k pattern rifles captured or turned in from the defeated German armed forces. One of the more common pocket pistols found in the "Old West" were the Sharps four-barrel derringers. They came in .22 rimfire, and their four barrels slide forward to load and unload. These first model pistols had brass frames and fired the recently introduced .22 Rimfire metallic cartridges. These pistols were made by "C. When unlocked, three guide ribs on the bolt sleeve align with the three locking lugs to allow the bolt to slide smoothly. When locked, these three lugs provide massive bolt strength. The A-Bolt II feeds very smoothly because of its unique, patented cartridge depressor that stays in position, independent of the bolt rotation, as the bolt slides gently over the cartridges in the magazine. The bolt face is recessed, completely surrounding the cartridge base. A cocking indicator located at the rear of the bolt offers visual and tactile firing pin status. The Mauser C96 is often celebrated as the first Commercially successful semi-automatic pistol ever produced, setting the stage for the following explosion in popularity of self-loading sidearms. Often called the Mauser “Broomhandle” on account of its unique grip shape, the iconic shape and history of the pistol has made it an incredibly popular pistol for collectors. This pistol is an M1921 “Bolo” made in the interwar period in compliance with the Treaty of Versailles. These pistols were popular Amongst the Bolshevik government in the newly formed USSR, spawning their nickname. The Hammer on this example is a later pattern and both it and the bolt are unserialized. The Bolt Stop is not serial number matching. This pistol has a century arms import stamp under the barrel. Mechanically, this pistol is complete and appears to be in good working order. This is a PPK semi auto pistol chambered in 7.65 Browning, more commonly referred to as .32 ACP in the US. One of the most popular single stack subcompacts to ever hit the market, the Walther PPK is a simple blowback operated pistol that utilizes a DA/SA (double action to single action) and a manual decocker incorporated into the safety. Designed by the Germans in the early 1930’s, this one appears to be in the Wartime 1940 Serial Range. Pistol sports what appears to be the original Bakelite grips, a blued finish, and Eagle over N proof mark. Some oxidation is present throughout steel surfaces.
