SN 8458. Cased, pre-war special order gun with 2 sets of 12GA barrels 26" and 30". Bluing is very good on receiver and barrels, bores are very good. Wood is solid with handling marks and minor scuffs. Gold-lettering "HB" on trigger guard, gun is attributed to Harold Boeschensteirn, first president of Owens-Corning Fiberglas (1938-1963), board chairman (1963-1971), and initiator of the first commercial glass fiber-reinforced plastics program in 1942. Richmond, Fort Bend County, Republic of Texas, Dated July 25, 1838. A Title Bill-Of-Sale signed by several notable Texian figures, of "Lot Number Five (5) in Block One Hundred and Twenty Nine (129)." for the sum of One Dollar. After evacuation during the 1836 "Runaway Scrape"; On the west bank of the Brazos in early 1837, the town of Richmond was established by business partners Robert Eden Handy and William Lusk. Document signed on bottom by both Handy and Lusk. Also signed on reverse, by Clement C. Dyer and John Hunter Herndon. Dyer served as a spy during the War of 1812, was member of Austin's Old Three Hundred, as Texas became Republic and later statehood, serving as Fort Bend and Harris County Justice of the Peace. Herndon married Barbara Mackall Wilkinson Calvit in 1839, the only daughter of Alexander Calvit and heir to the Calvit sugar plantation in Brazoria County. Eventually becoming notorious as one of the richest men in the state, a member of the 1842 Somervell Expedition, turned back at the Rio Grande and escaped the Black Bean Episode. Document measures 8" x 12.25"

Dated December 4, 1856, attesting Josiah Dowling as Clerk for Lavaca County Court. Josiah Dowling served as the first Lavaca County Clerk from 1846 to 1864 and again from 1865 to 1869. Dowling and John W. Kelly designed and built the third Lavaca County Courthouse in Hallettsville 1852. Signed lower right by Texas Governor Elisha M. Pease, and lower left by Secretary of State Edward Clark. Document measures 7.75" x 10"

Absolutely beautiful pair of LeMat revolvers with a gold monogram on the trigger guards. One gun has 50% of original finish, the other has around 75%. The barrels are each marked "LePage Moutier & Faure a Paris". Period presentation case, "CM" on top of the case was added to monograms on the trigger guard. Accompanying this case is two extremely rare LeMat 3 cavity molds. These guns were in the Cliff Young collection. Cliff put together one of the finest Confederate arms collection assembled. Antique.

With appraisal that reads: "The condition of this revolver remains deep brown patina with traces of nickel. Originally, these H.N. revolvers were issued in a blue and case finish." The trigger guard has been altered to accept the period ivory 2-piece grips. Possibly one of only 25 such nickel plated H.N. inspected Colt SAA. Antique.

Made by Belgian Gunsmith Toussant Joseph Lhoist, extremely rare. Appears all original, engraved with octagon 6.75" barrel, walnut grips. Lhoist manufacturer stamp on right side of barrel flat. Gun actions correctly, with trigger drop down functioning well as well as cylinder rotation. Antique.

No. 5 Holster Model Texas Patterson. Modern replacement 9" octagon barrel, the rest of the gun is original. Engraved cylinder scene. Sometimes called the "Texas" Paterson because of its association with the Texas Rangers. Revolver appears to function correctly, with drop down trigger and cylinder rotation. Antique.

Rare. US Colt Walker Model 1847 marked "C COMPANY No. 26" Listed on page 79 of "The Colt Whitneyville-Walker Pistol" book by Robert D. Whittington III as one of 150 verified surviving Colt Walker Model 1847s identified by Whittington in 1984. It was included in the Texas Gun Collectors Association Parade of Walkers in 2003 with certificate. Sam Colt designed the revolver in 1846 with guidance from Texas Ranger Captain Samuel H. Walker of C Company. The revolver was designed by Colt, but produced by Eli Whitney at the Whitneyville Armory under contract, as Colt did not have a manufacturing facility yet. The US Contract Walker models were numbered with Ranger Company designations with the Serial number beginning with the number 1 for each company. This revolver marked C Company No. 26 would have been part of the initial 1000 gun contract in 1847. The C Company Rangers received their first 214 revolvers on October 19th 1847 in Vera Cruz Mexico. This would have been part of that initial shipment & would have seen service during the Mexican American War with the Rangers. The revolver is in good working condition. The barrel is roll stamped "ADDRESS. SAML COLT. NEW-YORK CITY" . "C COMPANY No. 26" is roll stamped on the bottom of the backstrap. The serial number 26 is also visible on the rear face of the barrel lug, bottom of cylinder pin, and the right side of the grip strap beneath the grip. The cylinder is correctly in the white & roll engraved with the Ranger & Indian fight scene. Antique.

Hirsch wrote a definitive book, The Texas Gun Trade; A Guide to the Guns Made or Sold in The Lone Star State 1780 - Chris Hirsch also graced the cover of American Rifleman Magazine March, 1982, after specially constructing a Kentucky rifle for President Ronald Regan, and presenting it to him in the Oval Office. Barrel measures 31" marked: "A. Wurfflein Phil. /Cast Steel". Two gold breech bands in receiver and inlayed initial disk in stock. Double set triggers, .54 Cal. Good patina finish on metal, stock in very nice condition. Wurfflein operated from circa 1835 - 1871 and was known for the craftsmanship of his percussion rifles and derringers. Antique.
