Easy to ship, non fragile items can be packed in house, but for others, we work with a company called Aloha Ship and Pack, which can pack and ship most items. You can inquire about their services. Their phone number is (808) 487-5548. There is no fee to drop items off at their office.
Q: How does the process work?
A: We usually begin working on most shipments the week following the auction, but it could take up to 14 business days for a package to leave.
If your item is paid for and you have confirmed your shipping address, we will begin working on packing the items, or taking them to Aloha Ship and Pack for packing.
In general we can pack "in-house" non breakable items that are not too large. If your items won fit in a USPS flat rate box or small moving box and are not fragile, we likely pack it in house.
If the items purchased are larger, fragile or require special packing, we will likely take them to Aloha Ship and Pack for packing. They are experts and are reasonably priced for what they do.
After the items have been packed up, we input the dimensions and weight into our computer program which give us several options. We do our best to choose the best option, keeping in mind the cost but also the delivery date. Once the shipping option has been selected, the packing charges and any additional services like insurance are added on. (If the value is over $200, we automatically add insurance.) Finally we will charge the card on file, a label is created and the shipment is ready to leave.
Q: Can you ship to the mainland USA? What services do you use?
A: Yes!! We mainly use USPS or FED EX, and occasionally, UPS. We receive a discounted rate and do our best to choose the option that makes the most sense for the buyer. If you have a preference please let us know by replying to your sent invoice.
Q: Do you ship internationally? We do not do this in house, but ASAP may be able to help you with this.
Q: What are the charges?
A: There are 2 charges: Shipping and Packing. We do not mark up our discounted shipping rate. But packing items safely can take much time and materials and there is a charge for this service. The charge will depend on the time and materials needed to safely pack the items. "In House" shipment handling and packing fee usually range between $5-$20+. If you have multiple items we will work to combine them into one shipment.
