In 2019, Urwerk released the UR-100V watch, featuring not only the brands signature satellite carousel configuration of the wandering hours and minutes but also two novel indicators: distance traveled on Earth and distance traveled by Earth via two apertures on the upper portion of the dial. Cleverly, instead of having the red-arrow-tipped minute pointer on the orbiting hour satellites vanish after the hour is up, founder Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei designed the watch so that the arrow passes under the twin apertures to the aforementioned astronomical information.< div> < div> In 2022, the UR-100V made its debut, fitted with a new caliber that allowed for a redesign of the carousel for easier reading of the time. Urwerk produced several variants of the UR-100V watch including this limited edition UR-100V P.02 Limited Edition for Collective watch, released in 2021.< div> < div> Limited to only 20 pieces, the UR-100V P.02 was made in collaboration with Collective Horology and inspired by the Space Shuttle Enterprise, which is now at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City. The watch borrows design cues from the Enterprises flight deck including the gauges, colors, and textures. Furthermore, rather than the customary Earth and distance travelled by Earth indicators, the UR-100V P.02 includes two indicators for launch and landing sequences.< div> < div> The 41mm x 49.7mm (14mm thick) titanium and stainless steel case has a sleek gunmetal finish while the self-winding Caliber UR 12.02 inside the watch supplies 48 hours of power reserve.< div> < div> An impressive piece for space and high horology enthusiasts alike, this Urwerk UR-100V P.02 is accompanied by papers, the manufacturers box, and several extra pairs of straps.< div>
