1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 From Mr Mint Alan Rosen's Most Famous 1952 Topps High #'s 1986 Find. Yes. Our Consignor bought this card DIRECTLY from Alan Rosen in 1986 after the much publicized find of a lifetime! Many articles have been written about the find. Those cards are in many of the deepest collections in the Hobby. For our consignor, He has held this card without any fanfare for 38 years until NOW! It is undeniably the most beautiful RAW Mickey Mantle I have ever held. Of course, in this same find of ALL MINT Cards was another 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311 which sold recently in a Heritage Auction for $12.6 Million as an SGC 9.5. That specific one was Rosen's favorite from the deal. If this was the ugly cousin, it is still amongst the most beautiful Mantle's of all time. At the time, our consignor paid $5000.00 for what Alan Rosen called a GEM MINT card. Well, we know Rosen as the ultimate promoter in this hobby. He overstated it a little. The Registry, Color and Clarity is unmistakenly SPECTACULAR! The Print Quality is AMAZING! However, you must note the card is off center. Our consignor has aged like this card, and is ready to hand it off to it's next owner. I have looked at 1952 Topps Mantle's my entire career. I've handled more than 10 of them myself. Most recently we sold a PSA 4 for $94,000 through Heritage that was not even close to the same league as this card. I know there are some blazer's out there for giant money. I absolutely guarantee this card to be 1000% Authentic. It measures up 100%. I guarantee this card has not been altered, trimmed or doctored in ANY WAY! It has not even seen the light of day since it's purchase in 1986. It has been sitting in a safety deposit box all this time. You can look at all the PSA 5's and 6's selling for $200,000 and up, and not find one as clean and nice as this (except for the centering).
