This piece has been kept in a handmade wood and glass showcase so it is an excellent condition, this piece has been researched and well documented and is made of the Wood from Fort Loudon Winchester, Virginia built by George Washington and 1755, this was carved by J.W Nail of Winchester, Virginia in 1886 and also contains the plaque with the knife he used to widdle this entire piece and all its intricate detail. Mr. Nile is best known for carving a wood key to the city of Winchester Virginia presented at the first Apple Blossom festival in 1923.
