Believed to be by Starrett or a copy of (no markings found) from the mid-1800's. Main mechanical piece is cast metal. Handle and gears move smoothly. The bowl does not rotate as quickly or as effortlessly as I believe it should. Metal "bowl" has a wooden cutting board-style base. Wooden base has a hand painted pinstripe and a stenciled "No. 1". Measures 18" long and 13" tall. Check out the photos. This is a really nice item and one that you don't come across often.

Electric clock that lights up! Cast metal base with glass face and columns. Columns are filled with a liquid and large pieces of silver glitter that float when the lightbulbs heat up the liquid. All appears in working order but I did not keep track to see if it keeps time accurately. 7.75" tall. One column is loose and there is some dirt but still an excellent item with that fantastic mid-century futuristic design. See photos.

Lot of two Department 56 Snow Village Halloween pieces - #56.55343 1031 Trick-or-Treat Drive and #56.55087 The Spooky Schooner. Both are in the original packaging. Packaging shows some wear. Ship needs a small repair to a sail. It includes the light/cord but it did not work - assuming that it is a burnt-out bulb but I am not sure. Miniature size - measures 5.75" x 3.75" x 2.75". Cast metal housing with a brass color finish that is showing some minor wear. Glass panes in each "window". Face is marked "A. E. HOTCHKISS, PATENT". The round, brass clock backer has the manufacturer's information. Handwritten note from the consignor explains that it was kept in a glass door cabinet and was just taken out to be sent to auction. At that time, the clock was slightly wound, time was adjusted and the clock started up and kept time accurately for five hours. Please see photos.

Stunning old box in amazing original condition. Nice old surface finish. Believed to be mahogany. Paper in the interior is showing some wear. Interior lift-out tray with a pincushion - could have been a sewing box, or for hat pins. A crack forming at the center of the lid and a bit of veneer missing on one corner. Box has a lock but no key. About 11" long by about 8" wide by about 3.5" tall. Please see photos.

Handwritten letter dated August 16, 1862 - Culpepper, Va. Letter is addressed to "Friend Lizzie" and recounts the events that occurred the previous Saturday. That date was August 9 - the Battle of Cedar Mountain in Culpepper, Va. The Union was defeated by the Confederates. The 2nd Regiment of Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry - to which the author belonged - was nearly decimated in the battle. The signature is rather hard to clearly make out - appears to be "Sgt. R. H. Page". Several names and places match up with recorded history of this regiment and the battle that occurred. Glass pane on the front and plexiglass on the back. Measures 13.5" x 18".

1970s Greek Goddess Diana oil rain lamp. Plugged in for a very brief second and the light lit and the motor hummed. It is currently clean and empty - so I did not want to keep it plugged in long enough for a photo. You just need to add the proper oil to enjoy the rainfall effect. This retro treasure stands 30" tall and is 11 1/4" across. Comes with the original instruction manual - very oily.

Everything aside from the fields in the far distance literally pops out at you. They used color contrast to create texture and depth. German folk art created with wood - hand carved and painted. Back is signed with "WJG / 76". 5.5" tall. Bottom bird spins/moves but there are no major flaws. Please see photos. Notes on the artists: Husband and wife folk artists Walter Gottshall (1921-2018) and June Gottshall (1920-2021) lived in a log house outside of Reinholds, Pa. Walter was a woodcarver, and June painted the carvings. Beginning in the early 1970s, the couple had a decades-long career and did many regional folk art shows.

The story behind this piece is unknown. It has been signed by four players who were part of the 2018 team - the year after their Super Bowl winning season. Signatures are in black marker and include: #13 Nelson Agholor, #31 Jalen Mills, #30 Corey Clement and #55 Brandon Graham. The helmet is a bit of a puzzle - the chin strap has "ADAMS 01" and there is an "82" inside. However, it was last certified in 2007. It may have been a game worn helmet. The artwork matches the 1969-1973 throwback design but the faceguard does not. You're the expert... Helmet has some dirt and wear. Some wear to the signatures. Check out those photos!

The smallest duck is stamped "SCM" and was created by Steve C. Merritt. The medium duck was made in 1980 by W. Jefferies and the largest is signed in marker by R. W. Shister. All show some minor wear and are a bit dusty. See photos.

Please see photos. The tallest ceramic vase is by Shawnee and is 8" tall. Geisha figure is cast iron with a dark, blue-green paint. Glass and copper vases appear hand crafted. Rough spot on a handle of the glass vase. Perhaps a chip?? No other issues found.

Millefiori piece is Venetian Murano and was made in Italy by Castle. The original labels are still attached. The flattest paperweight is signed on the bottom by the artist and dated "1986". All three are in excellent condition. Please check out the photos.
