Album & Photos, Incl. Confederate C.S.A. Generals. (1) Brady Image CDV of Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson (1824-1863). Jackson was a Confederate general, playing a critical role in nearly all military engagements in the Eastern theater until his death. Measures 2 1/2" X 4 1/8". (1) CDV of Gideon Johnson Pillow (1806-1878). Pillow was a senior Confederate officer in the Western Theater. He was also a senior officer during the Mexican-American war. (1) CDV of Benjamin McCulloch (1811-1862). Benjamin was a soldier in the Texas Revolution, Texas Ranger, Major General in the Texas Militia, Major in the US Army during the Mexican-American War, Sheriff of Sacramento County, Texas, US Marshall, and Brigadier General in the Confederate Army. He was killed in the Battle of Pea Ridge, Arkansas. The CDV card measures 2 1/2" X 4 1/8". (1) CDV of Felix Kirk Zollicoffer (1812-1862). Zollicoffer was an American politician and solider. He was a three-term US Representative from Tennessee, an officer in the US Army, and a Confederate brigadier general during the American Civil War. He led the first Confederate invasion of eastern Kentucky and was killed in action at the Battle of Mill Springs, making him the first Confederate general to die in the Western Theater. CDV measures 2 1/2" X 4 1/8". (2) Joseph E. Johnston (1807-1891) in CSA and US uniform CDVs. Johnston was a career army officer, who served in the US Army during the Mexican-American War and the Seminole Wars. He fought for the Confederate States Army as one of its most senior general officers. He was elected as a Democrat to the US House of Representatives, serving a single term. Measure 2 1/2" X 4 1/8". (1) CDV of Varina Davis (1826-1906) First Lady of the Confederate States of America. Measures 2 1/2" X 4 1/8". (1) John Hunt Morgan (1825-1864) was a Confederate General fighting in the Battle of Shiloh and leading "Morgan's Raid" all the way into Ohio, the northernmost point ever reached by uniformed Confederates. He was killed at Greeneville, Tennessee. (1) CDV of John Singleton Mosby (1833-1916). Mosby was a Confederate army cavalry battalion commander known as the "Gray Ghost." His 43rd Battalion, Virginia Cavalry, was known as Mosby's Raiders. The Civil War CDVs are accompanied by (6) other 19th Century Civil War era Southern photographs, including one soldier. Including (1) Larcombe ambrotype photograph of woman, 1854. Case is marked, "Larcombe Patent July 4 & 11 1854." Larcombe was a photographer located on the corner of Cherry and Union Street, Nashville, Tennessee. Measures 2 5/8" X 3 3/16". Case measures 3 1/8" X 3 5/8". Condition- Various conditions.
