We just put him in a yard with feed and this solves the problem. Head shy to put bridle on at times. Bare foot,never been shod. Ideally suit competent rider wanting to do flat work all day and spoil him and put him back in the stable or paddock. He'd be happy and very content if he never went to a show. But saying this we did showjumping days. Dressage days could be a whole new world for him. He's not brave but does settle, when anxious waiting at the gate can paw but not dirty. Once in the ring knowing his job he's good. Trucks and floats, does sweat on his own , with a friend he's good. Hates sweat scrapers, likes a very soft brush. Always in your pocket for a cuddle, and he loves the company of other horses! Lovely to handle on the ground. Good to catch, shoe, float, wash etc… He’s up to date with shoeing, teeth, & back/body work. Currently fully shoed. Walk, trot, canter. He really struggles to pick up the right canter lead, he often takes the wrong leg and it can be a frustrating process so when being ridden he really needs a balanced rider and usually a trot pole or something to aid him into taking the correct lead. He can also throw in a buck, it doesn’t really throw you most of the time though, it feels like a massive canter stride tbh. He’s never gotten anyone off with it but a bucks still a buck. And when he’s out of work he definitely tests the buttons when being brought back into work. *he has been out of work since the start of July* He’s jumped a handful of times earlier in the year and had a lovely pop over a fence, was very confident once he got going. Xander has had exposure outside of home, including; going to the beach, to the forest on trails in large groups, and out on hacks on dirt roads past oncoming traffic and barking dogs. In summer he can be a bit fly sensitive, so I usually find fly spray is a must have to keep the pesky flies away when riding. He has had exposure to the forest, conservation work, roads, and traffic. He is relisted due to the fact my husband has just become unwell, and I don't have the time he needs or deserves. He is a lovely boy who comes running over to greet you and loves his food. In the time I have had him, he has been wormed, teeth done (need wolf teeth pulled) dentist states 5 yr old, washed, rugged, lunged, long reined, can pick up feet.. He came to me on a truck, I have seen footage from previous seller of him in an angle load float, I floated him in my straight float - took encouragement to get on but once on floated beautiful. Would suggest picking up in a bigger float/truck. The previous owner had said mouthed, backed, and ready to begin. I have found he is mouthed however when weight was applied to his back he tucked under and tried to buck. I have seen several pics of previous owner sitting on him. Unfortunately, with my husband sick, I now don't have the time to work with him to finish breaking/training him, and he needs a knowledgeable owner to continue him on. As also per his previous add they said he could be nervous I have found this to be true in situations he is not familiar with but he does settle with reassurance. He will make someone a ripper of a horse who has the time to put into him. His reserve is low so that he finds a great home. Hulk can be sensitive to touch on the ears however is very easy to put a bridle on! Hulk is very girth sensitive, once on and legs stretched he is fine! Will stand still whilst mounting! Never has any malicious acts no buck, bolt or rear! They're all currently running in a mixed herd of Boer and Anglo Nubians, so the older two girls are potentially in kid again to either the purebred Boer buck or the purebred Anglo Nubian buck. Winston is a half brother to Sally from the same Boer sire, but he is unrelated to the other three girls. All know their names and the girls will all come to you to be hand fed or given a treat and a pat. Winston will move away from you if you say his name and move towards him, he won't eat from your hand, but he's happy to mill about the area with you as long as you don't move towards him like you're trying to grab him.
