An US Navy Reed and Barton silverplate creamer pitcher. Marked on bottom "Salvaged From/ U.S.S. ARIZONA/ Sunk Dec. 7, 1941." Marked on side with two stars over "USN." 5 3/4" x 4 1/2" x 3" Condition: Loss of plate in some areas. Provenance: Descended in family from Four-Star Admiral Stuart S. Murray (American, 1898-1980). Admiral Murray served as a Naval Officer from 1918 - 1955 including service during WWII. He was involved in constructing the submarine base at Pearl Harbor and was assigned to Pearl Harbor naval base from 1948-1950. Bruce Brittain (grandson of Admiral Murray) remembers seeing this item in my mother 's (Suzanne Murray Stroup-daughter of Admiral Murray) house and assumes it was inherited from Admiral Murray.
