Exquisite set of Jewelry by the famed artist Vega Maddux active(1960-1997). Squash blossom necklace in heavy silver with a central white jade plaque carved to the reverse and front with a lotus flower and fruit bats. Central panel surrounded in exquisite enamel floral motifs in red, white, green, and a multicolored peacock. Inset in the gilt silver a series of numerous malachite stones and lapis lazuli pieces. Necklace chain with additional heavily enameled panels of red, green, black, blue and cream colors. Each section of panel with additional large malachite stones and lapis lazuli pieces. Dangling from the main pendant a series of seven strands of enamel breads in green, blue, white, red and cream colors. Matching malachite and lapis lazuli beads along with some silver separate each section.

Vega whose maiden name was Maddux regularly crafted and sold-out of her custom jewelry in silver with beautiful enamel colors inset with Jade, Lapis, Malachite, and other semi-precious stones. Recently her pieces have been purchased by institutions including the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. (Signed VEGA, to the reverse of each over the silver)
