The metal finish on the receiver shows heavy wear, the receiver and bolt have a bronze tint with light surface rust. The military stock and handguard are in are in good to very good military condition showing dings and scratches with numerous Japanese characters stamped on both side of the butt. Serial # 243492. .45 caliber black powder percussion fired pistol with a 6” octagon barrel. The bore is very good, clean with no rust. Made in Spain. These guns were sold by CVA and Dixie Gun Works years ago and were available new or in kit form. The metal finish on the barrel is a bare gray/brown patina with scratches and older cleaned surface rust. The lightly engraved lock plate and hammer shows faded case color. The plain hardwood stock is in very good condition with only a few handling marks. Brass trigger guard. Fixed sights. The action works fine.

The blued metal finish on the barrels is in fair condition showing scuffs, scratches and a covering of light surface rust. The receiver is a gray patina with faded case color visible, the bottom surface has heavy surface rust. The plain walnut forearm is in fair condition with dings, scratches and a crack in the nose. The matching buttstock is in poor condition with heavy finish wear, it is cracked through the wrist and is tapped on. The action seems to work OK. C&R.

The rifle has been crudely sporterized by shortening the stock and discarding the handguard and the barrel bands. The blued metal finish on the barrel and receiver is in fair to good condition showing edge wear with thinning and a covering of light surface rust. The blued metal finish on the magazine housing/trigger guard shows edge wear and scratches with a slight brownish patina. A .45-70 barrel and sporter sights were installed and the bolt handle altered. The blued metal finish on the barrel, receiver and the floor plate/trigger guard is in good condition showing edge wear and scratches with patches of finish loss on the barrel. The overall length is 52”. The barrel is marked “J.H. Johnston Great Western Gun Works Pittsburgh PA”. The lock is marked “Richards”. James Hampton Johnston was the son of John H. Johnston who made guns in Waynesboro PA from 1832-to 1866. James H. moved the business to Pittsburgh, PA in 1866 as the Great Western Gun Works. James H died in 1915, his son James A. took over in 1896 and operated until 1923. The rifle appears to be cobbled together from a Great Western barrel mated to a Belgian Richards lock. The lock plate has been modified by adding an extension to the front and to the top. Double set triggers. The metal finish on the barrel is a grayish brown patina. The upper tang is cracked through. Fixed front and rear sights dovetailed into the barrel. The lock plate and hammer are a grayish brown patina. Brass trigger guard, patch box and butt plate. Made at the Koishikawa Arsenal in Tokyo c. 1935. No series markings, the receiver has the “S” proof. The numbers are mis-matched. The bolt hand has been altered and there are 2 pilot holes drilled into the front receiver bridge. The blued metal finish on the barrel and receiver is in fair condition showing slight thinning with light edge wear and a covering of moderate surface rust. The floor plate/trigger guard show wear with rust. The military stock and handguard are in good military condition showing scattered light dings and scratches with finish wear. A small recess has been cut for bolt handle clearance. The mum is intact, but has been drilled with one of the pilot holes. Original military sights. Steel butt plate. The action works fine. Originally a US military WWI era rifle made in 1918, it was subsequently converted into a sporter by discarding the military stock and hand guard, discarding the military sights, shortening the barrel, altering the bolt handle and placing the action into a sporter stock. The gray parkerized finish on the RA-44 marked barrel is in very good condition showing muzzle wear, thinning and scratches. Serial # 267. 12 Ga. single shot shotgun with a 32” barrel. The bore is poor, rusty with pitting. Side opening leaver that doubles as the trigger guard. Made c. 1880-1890. The metal finish on the barrel and receiver is a cleaned brown patina intermittently worn to bare metal with little to no original nickel finish remaining on the receiver. The opening lever is a dark brown patina. The plain walnut stock and forearm are in fair condition with dings, scratches and finish wear. There is a crack in both sides of wrist as well as at the upper tang with chips of wood missing from either side of the upper tang. The action works OK, it is a bit sluggish and there is some play in the barrel to frame lock-up. Made from 1880 to 1904. C&R.

R Serial # 376884. 12 Ga. double barreled shotgun with 29-1/4” Damascus barrels. The bores are good, mostly clean with scattered light pitting. The bores are choked Full and Modified. There are small dents and dings in both barrels, but mostly on the right barrel. Double triggers and extractors. The metal finish on the Damascus barrels is a brownish patina with scattered dings and scratches with a haze of fine rust. The metal finish on the receiver is gray patina with traces of case color visible along with some spots of older cleaned surface rust. The Triebel family in Germany has been involved with gun making since the mid-1600’s. Rudi Triebel was located in Kaufbeuren in Bavaria and made custom rifles during and just after WWII. His son Jurgin got involved in making custom reloading dies and chamber reamers which are still in production today. The rifle features a ribbed barrel, a lightly engraved receiver, a floor plate with an opening lever, double set trigger, an engraved spoon style bolt and a custom stock. The barrel is marked H. Triebel Augsburg. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in good to very good condition showing light edge wear with some light scratches and some scattered light freckling. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in very good condition showing scattered light scratches with scattered dots of light surface rust. The receiver shows little wear with some scattered light surface rust. The plain walnut sporter forearm with a black painted nose is in very good condition with some minor marks. The rifle was based on the German G98/40 and was made from 1943-1945 with some possibly made post-war as late as 1948. Main production was at FEG in Budapest with some production at Danuvia in Budapest. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in fair condition showing heavy wear and thinning with dings and scratches. The metal finish on the receiver and the floor plate/trigger guard shows heavy wear with little finish remaining. The plain walnut forearm and hand guard are in very good condition showing scattered dings and scratches. The nose cap does not fit well. The plain walnut butt stock is in good condition showing scattered light dings and scratches. The initials “JV” have been carved in the right side. Steel butt plate. Marked “M 1911A1 U.S. Army” and “United States Property” on the frame along with an FJA inspection mark, a crossed cannon mark and an RIA rebuild mark. The Remington Rand slide has Type 3 markings. The slide has a “P” stamp. The dark gray parkerized finish on the slide is in good condition showing edge wear and thinning with scuffs, scratches and just a hint of some light rust in the lettering. R Serial # 51929. .32-20 Win. caliber double action revolver with a 6” barrel. The bore is fair, mostly clean with scattered pitting with good rifling. 3rd Change variation made c. 1912. The satin blued metal finish on the barrel, frame and cylinder is a re-blue and is in good to very good condition showing light edge wear, scratches and scattered light freckling. There is evidence of buffing with some underlying roughness, especially on the frame. The hammer and trigger have been blued. The checkered walnut grips are in fair to good condition showing wear to the checkering, mostly on the right panel. The action works fine. The Model of 1905 was made from 1899-1940 with the 3rd Change being made from 1909-1915. C&R.

R Serial # 21610. .38 S&W caliber double action revolver with a 4” barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling. This is a pre-war 5 shot revolver made on the I frame. The blued metal finish on the fluted cylinder is in good condition showing edge wear with thinning and a covering of light freckling along with a light drag line. It looks like there has a slight bulge that was hammered down. Czech made service revolver similar in design to a S&W .32 Regulation Police. The satin blued metal finish on the barrel is in good condition showing light muzzle wear with some dings and scratches. The satin blued finish on the fluted cylinder is in very good condition showing little wear with a light drag line. The satin blued metal finish on the frame is in very good condition showing light edge wear with some widely scattered light freckling. The Mother of Pearl grips are in very good condition, no cracks. The action works fine.

Serial # 190959. .45 caliber black powder percussion fired Derringer pistol with a 3” octagon barrel. The bore is very good to excellent, mostly clean with strong rifling. Made in Spain. The lock plate is marked “Derringer Philadelphia.” The barrel is in the white and shows light dings and scratches. The lock plate and hammer show traces of case color. R Serial # 10490. 6.5x50mm caliber Japanese caliber bolt action rifle with a 31-1/2” barrel. The bore is very good, mostly clean with good, slightly worn rifling with some light frosting in the grooves. Made at the Jinsen Arsenal in Korea under Japanese occupation. 30th Series markings. He operated out of Pennsylvania and west Virgina from the 1970’s until the 1990’s. he is now retired from gun making. The metal finish on the barrel is nicely browned with some light scuffs and scratches. The lock plate and hammer have a thin brown finish with light edge wear. Johann Peterlongo was a gunsmith/gun maker located in Innsbruck, Austria in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in excellent condition showing little wear. The lightly engraved receiver shows good case color. The lever and lower tang show traces of case color. The full length plain walnut forearm is in very good to excellent condition showing little use with a few minor marks. R Serial # SKS12132. 7.62x39MM caliber semi auto rifle with a 20” barrel. The bore is excellent. This rifle was made at factory 26 and is one of the rifles recently imported from Central America. The rifle was made c. 1967-1968. The numbers appear to be all matching except for the top cover including the stock. The blued metal finish on the barrel and receiver is in good condition showing edge wear and scratching with heavier scratching on the top cover. The stock and forearm are in fair condition with numerous dings from hard use in the jungles of Central America. The cleaning kit in the butt is missing. R Serial # AB1193. 6.5x52 mm Carcano bolt action rifle with a 21” barrel. The bore is very good, mostly clean with good rifling, there is some fouling and frosting in the grooves. Made at the Terni Arsenal in 1940. The metal finish on the barrel and receiver is worn to near bare metal with little finish remaining. The rifle is discreetly import marked on the underside of the barrel near the muzzle. The metal finish on the trigger guard/magazine box also shows wear thinning with some scratches. The hardwood stock and hand guard are in very good condition showing light dings and scratches from use. The stock is mis-matched. The action works fine. Serial # NSN. .69 caliber smooth bore percussion fired musket with a 32” barrel. the bore is very good, clean with light rust. Appears to be based on a US Springfield Model 1842 3 band musket. The lock plate is dated 1848. The barrel has the VP and eagle head proofs. The musket has been shortened in the style of an artillery or cavalry musketoon, but retains all 3 barrel bands. The overall length is 48”. The metal finish on the barrel and barrel bands has been polished bright and shows little wear with some remnant pitting around the nipple. The hammer and lock plate have been cleaned and are a gray patina with some remnant older cleaned rust on the hammer. The markings are clear and legible. The butt plate and trigger guard have been polished and show some remnant older rust and scattered light pitting. The plain walnut stock is in very good condition. There are no cartouches visible, there is a large “05” stamped into the comb near the butt plate. The action works fine, holding on both half and full cock.

Carr) inspectors marks on the barrel, cylinder and frame as well as L.E.B. (Leroy E. Briggs) inspectors markings on the left side of the frame. Briggs oversaw the refurbishment of Colt revolvers by Remington for use in WW I. Made in 1901. The blued metal finish on the barrel, frame and cylinder is in fair to good condition showing moderate to heavy wear on the barrel, along with numerous dings and scratches with edge wear and thinning along with scattered light surface rust. The silver toned finish on the engraved receiver and the lever is in very good to excellent condition showing some slight oxidation from storage. R Serial # 171558. 7.62x54Rmm caliber bolt action rifle with a 32” barrel. The bore is fair, somewhat dark with good rifling. Made by Remington for an Imperial Russian contact to supply arms for WWI. Remington shipped only about 130,000 rifles of a 1.5 million rifle contract when the Bolsheviks defeated the Tsar, severely straining Remington’s finances. The rifle is SA marked indicating that it saw Finnish service, possible captured by the Finns during the Winter War. The arsenal blued metal finish on the barrel, receiver and magazine housing is in good condition showing edge wear and thinning with scratches and some older cleaned surface rust. The barrel bands and butt plate are worn to bare metal. The markings are visible and strong. The numbers are completely mis-matched. The 2-piece hardwood stock and hand guard is in good military condition showing scattered dings and scratches with some scattered stress cracks, there is a repair in the wrist.
