Measuring 5-1/4"h to 8"h. Condition: Good with normal wear, including replaced lid on sugar jar.
136 Antiq. John Bell Waynesboro Handled Jar and Lid.
Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO" on shoulder, PA origin, circa 1850-1880. Ovoid storage jar with applied lug handles, flattened rim, and incised line decoration, decorated with a manganese spotted tulip on the front and reverse and highlights to handle terminals. Comes with matching redware lid with acorn finial. Measures 12-5/8" high. Chips to rim at top and base. Condition: Chips to handles. Uncleaned. Tight "Y" hairline 1" x 3-1/4" below shoulder and 3" hairline on bottom. Glazed interior with wear and chips. Unglazed lid has a 1" chip to rim and chips to underside.

11"h stenciled "F. H. Cowden Harrisburg" with snowflake design. 4" hairline to the left of the spout starting at top edge extending to first collar ring. Stone pops and surface roughness to top and bottom edges.
