An exquisite Chinese export, 19th century example. Heavily decorated with gilt and polychrome enamel on it's interior and exterior. Both are decorated with a total of about 80 figures. The figure paintings are of Royalty, nobles, scholars, worshipers, prisoners (people who I believe are wearing handcuffs), butterflies, horses, flowers, windows and other subject matter. There are also design features such as panels, game tables, vignettes, and windows. The colors are vibrant. This is the largest bowl we have ever offered for auction. Piece appears to be in excellent condition, with no visible chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs and measures approx. 23" wide x 9.25" tall
