Terms and Conditions
Golden auctions Terms & Conditions - All Rights Reserved
Final sales prices are determined through Public Auction, with competitive Online Bidding. Because we do not set the final sales prices - ALL SALES ARE FINAL except for the guarantees explicitly outlined below.
METALS: Gold & Sterling Silver are guaranteed 100% genuine.
DIAMONDS: All diamonds are 100% guaranteed for authenticity. Diamonds are tested on electronic Presidium Gem Testers and are guaranteed to be genuine. Any diamonds that are known to be lab grown diamonds will be disclosed as such. Opinions of size, color, clarity, cut and cutting style can vary greatly among experts and are not warrantied.
COLORED STONES: Gemstones listed as "Genuine" or "Natural" are tested by Presidium Gem Testers and are guaranteed to have the chemical properties of a genuine gemstone. All colored gemstones are considered to have had treatments common in the marketplace such as heat, diffusion, lead glass and flux additives. 99.99% of all colored gemstones on the marketplace have had treatment. Colored gemstones without "Genuine" designation are untested and are considered to be synthetic, man-made or unknown in regards to the original origin of the stone. These stones cannot be warrantied and should be purchased for their aesthetic value.
WATCHES: All time pieces sold by golden auctions are guaranteed authentic. Watches are verified by professional watch makers by serial number and cross referencing the movement of the watch. We guarantee the movement of the watch, as that is all we can honestly warranty. We DO NOT warranty bands, bezels, crowns, dials, crystals or any other parts making up a watch that could be after market. Simply put, pre-owned watches, much like a car can have a wide variety of aftermarket parts. If a pre-owned Lexus gets new tires, is it still a Lexus? The same is true for watches.
COINS & CURRENCY: Golden auctions guarantees the authenticity of coins and currency. Golden auctions makes no warranty as to the condition of coins or currency. Coin grading varies greatly based on the experience of grading standards of the individual or grading company, it should be used as a guideline. Golden auctions does not warranty any basis of grades.
ORIGINAL PRINT: A print created by hand and by the artist. Using a variety of techniques an artist may produce one or several near identical images yet call them all “original” which is a matter of contention amongst collectors.
LIMITED EDITION PRINTS: A print where the total number of prints to be made has been predetermined or limited.
APPRAISALS & OPINIONS OF VALUE: All values including appraisal prices and auction estimates are to be used as guidance and are not guaranteed by the auction company or the appraisal company. No appraisal or auction estimate should be used as a suggestion of resell value. Opinions of value and quality of stones can vary greatly among "experts" based on current market conditions, availability in the market place, geographical location, gemological equipment types, method of grading and the evaluator's training. Such variances do not constitute any error on either evaluator. Golden Auctions does not warranty any opinion of value, or grading evaluation.
As is customary in the jewelry business, when items are manufactured and are so similar in makeup that there is no difference in weight or appearance, a certificate may be duplicated for each piece that is manufactured and evaluated by the appraiser. There are several items in this auction that are brand new, manufactured items, and this process would be similar to the processes used by major chain jewelry stores that have several of a single item.
Photography: All items are photographed used a 10x high powered macro lens. Items are placed in a professional lighting studio box to enhance the lighting and represent natural lighting from the outdoors.
It is important to note that items will appear in photos as if you are viewing them under a 10x loupe, and can look different (generally better) to the naked eye. Items are NOT edited or altered at all. Manufactured goods may be examined and appraised by the appraisal company in groups, with reports being issued reflecting their findings and views that are the same. Photographs used for the purpose of appraisals or auction listing may be used multiple times when an item is manufactured to have no noticeable difference.
PURCHASE TERMS: An 10% buyer's premium will apply to all purchases, along with the following payment charges. Payment is due within 24 hours of the conclusion of the auction.
CREDIT CARD TERMS: 3% credit card fee will be added to all invoices paid by credit card. Please note that the credit card you place on file will be billed, and the shipping address you provide will be where your items will be shipped to. The auction software uses a credit card verification system to validate credit cards and matching addresses, so ship-to addresses cannot be changed. The auction company reserves the right to require ACH or Wire Transfer payment for any invoice based on risk factors.
VERIFIED BANK TRANSFER & WIRE TRANSFER TERMS: There is no incoming wire transfer or bank transfer charge to the bidder or invoices paid with this method.
DEFAULT: Payment is due immediately following the auction. Invoices not paid within 7 days will be considered in default, and the following actions will be taken.
1. Bidding Privileges Suspended and Account Blacklisted: Your account will be permanently suspended from bidding or participating in auctions on our platform, as well as across other associated platforms where blacklisting measures may be taken.
2. Resale of Items: In the event of continued non-payment, we will proceed with reselling the items associated with this unpaid invoice. However, it is important to note that even if the items are resold, you will still remain responsible for the following fees:
• 10% Auction Fee: This fee covers the administrative costs and expenses associated with organizing the auction.
• 10% Relisting Fee: This fee covers the costs associated with relisting the items after the initial sale fell through.
• To facilitate the collection process, our collection attorney will add a $250 collection fee, as well as any and all court and filing costs associated with this collection.
Canadian residents are subject to a 15% sales tax.
This is an "All Sales Final" auction event, and items are not eligible for returns or exchanges. If the auction company, at its sole discretion, agrees that a return of a product is in the best interest of both parties, it is agreed that under no circumstances will fees associated with the auction, including buyer's premium, shipping, and processing fees, be refunded. All auctions in the United States are considered to be with reserve unless advertised as absolute. This auction is not absolute, and some pieces may be sold with reserve. The auction company reserves the right to bid on behalf of the reserve price. Golden auctions uses third-party software for online auctions. If you feel your account has been compromised, it is your responsibility to contact Golden auction immediately to suspend your account. Final bids made from your account ARE NOT SUBJECT TO CANCELATION.
NOTICE: For bidders who are new to our website and are unknown to our company, we will likely ask you for more information to verify your identity for purchases exceeding $1,000. In the event that we cannot verify your shipping address with your identity, we will require wire transfer or ACH..
Retail replacement values, sizes and pertinent information have already been determined by inspection prior to the sale of the item and are not subject to changes. In acceptance of the report the buyer understands that the report itself is in no way a warranty of any sort. Reports are completed by individuals with vast experience, and training in the jewelry field, but are gemological opinion, and do not state a fact. Diamond and gemstone grading is not considered a science of any form, but an opinion which can vary depending on the grader's equipment, lighting conditions, grading techniques and amount of experience in the trade. The document is for estimating retail value in order to obtain proper insurance coverages. Retail values are in no way a guarantee.
WHOLE AGREEMENT: Acceptance of these terms constitute a whole and legally binding agreement between the bidder and the auction company. Note that acceptance of these terms is a requirement to bid in this auction, and that any bidder who chooses not to abide by these terms and conditions are disallowed from bidding. As a condition of your approval to bid in this auction, it is mutually agreed that all disputes that could arise will be tried in Prince Edward Island Canada. As acceptance of these terms and conditions all bidders agree that items are sold AS-IS and are not subject to a credit card dispute. If you have any questions regarding these terms, please do not bid in this auction.
