Description
Betty Schwark "Two Meeting Street, Charleston SC" Signed and numbered limited-edition watercolor art print. Titled and numbered 705/1000 in lower left, signed in lower right. Single mat with a gold fillet. Image size is 22.5" x 16.25", with an overall framed size of 31" x 25". A few condition issues with gold gilt wood frame such as nicks and peeling of gilt. on underside. Born June 1, 1918, in Kansas City, MO. She attended Kansas City Art Institute and later became a commercial fashion illustrator. Upon retiring, she moved to Charleston, S.C. in 1980 where she began portrait painting and watercolors. She was featured in many art galleries throughout Charleston. In 1990, she and her daughter opened Cobblestone Studios on Market Street, where her artwork is still on display.
