Owners Description:
The car originated in Calgary and stayed there until 2022 when it came to Manitoba. It was taken to the Mustang Shop in Calgary at some point in the 2000’s (according to previous owner). At the Mustang Shop it received an entirely new motor including bottom end, a full Trick Flow top end and intake, Vortech V2 supercharger, work to the T-5 transmission (believed to be a G-Force upgrade kit), and rear end upgrades. They also added subframe connectors and seam welded/boxed the rear torque boxes, added a larger fuel pump & fuel injectors, re-programmed the factory ECM, and other details. At some point around this time period a Cervini body kit was added including hood and “whale tail”, and it appears to have been repainted in the factory white. There is an odd entry on the Carfax in May 2005, and the car was not insured again until Apr 2007. According to the previous owner there was some catalyst (speculation is theft) which sparked this overhaul/upgrade with the Mustang Shop. The date code on the engine block is 1987, so it is not original to the car (and adds validity to the claim that it has aftermarket internals). The date code on the hood is 06/02, and the supercharger serial number puts the manufacture date around 2005/2006, so this all appears to make sense.
Other additions were made either at that time or over the years which I don’t have much detail on. They include a lowering kit, cobra R rims, LX tail lights, short tube headers, electric cooling fan, many aftermarket gauges, Corbeau seats, custom door panels, window tint, and an aftermarket stereo.
When I got the car, the “whale tail” was removed and a ’93 cobra wing installed instead. The engine bay wiring was completely stripped out along with the modified factory ECU, and a Terminator X engine management system and all new wiring harness and sensors was added. All of the previously added aftermarket gauges were stripped and a Holley 6.86 Dash was added in their place for a clean look. The fuel system was upgraded to -6AN braided steel lines, an in-tank 340lph Aeromotive fuel pump, Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and Trick Flow fuel rails. A Snow Performance stage 4 water methanol system was added, including trunk mount pump and 2.5 gallon reservoir, steel braided lines, and 2 stage injection nozzles. The ‘90’s audio system was also completely replaced and upgraded with a new Kenwood touch screen apple car play navigation head unit feeding a kicker 5 channel class D amp, Infinity Kappa component speakers, and a Kicker sub. A new 200amp alternator upgrade kit was also installed. Thousands of dollars were spent on re-pop interior and trim pieces to make the car look new. New tires and regular maintenance items were all done as required.
The car has approximately 86,000km on it, and was very clearly garage kept and summer driven only it’s entire life. The undercarriage shows this without doubt, it is original and rust free (never painted/detailed to hide anything). It put down 520WHP on the dyno while being tuned post terminator/water-meth install, and is extremely fun to drive. Carfax is clean with a minor fender bender in in 2013 (all panel tags are present except the left front fender). The car is very clean and well put together.
