Lead "Cavalier" Hammond Synchronous Desk Clock
Description
The "Cavalier" Hammond Clock is a classic vintage timepiece from the mid-20th century, known for its elegant and sophisticated design. This clock typically features a rectangular or slightly arched wooden case, often finished in rich mahogany or walnut, reflecting the refined aesthetic of the period. The "Cavalier" has a simple, easy-to-read dial with Roman or Arabic numerals, complemented by slender hands, giving it a timeless and understated appeal. Powered by Hammond's reliable synchronous electric movement, the "Cavalier" requires a manual spin-start to set it running, a signature feature of early Hammond clocks. The clock’s sturdy construction and mechanical precision make it a durable and functional piece, while its design adds a touch of mid-century charm to any room. This model is especially valued by collectors of vintage electric clocks and mid-century design, as it showcases both the craftsmanship and innovation that Hammond was known for during its heyday. The "Cavalier" remains a desirable piece for those who appreciate the blend of function and form in classic timepieces. Refer to photos of the actual item being sold for most accurate condition information. Please ask any questions or request additional information if needed. All items are being sold as-is and unless specifically stated otherwise all clocks are being sold as untested. This collection was extremely well cared for and many have notes regarding the condition or issue and those will all be notated in the listing. Eouse Auctioneering can’t guarantee the accuracy of the owner’s claims. Please use your best judgement and due diligence when bidding in this auction. We are happy to facilitate whatever you need to be an informed bidder.
