Information
Lot # 69
Group - Category Construction & Farm - Livestock
Lead (VIC) TANGO - HAFLINGER X WELSH GELDING
Description
*AS PROVIDED BY VENDOR * NAME: Tango BREED: Haflinger x Welsh SEX: Gelding HEIGHT: 12.1hh(Not measured) AGE:12 Currently being worked by a 13 year old girl, has been ridden by myself also (35yr old 54kg). We purchased Tango as a beginners bomproof pony earlier in the year for my 3 young girls, which sadly he’s just not a beginners pony. He is a gun of a little pony in many ways, nothing (I mean nothing) scares him, tarps, quails, tractors, excavators, trucks. And he loves you with his whole heart, comes galloping flat stick to you in the paddock. He can be arrogant when he doesn’t want to do something, so needs someone with some grunt to push him. He is a foward moving boy, has a good pace. Doesn’t feel like a little pony. He’s ok with youngens in an arena or yard but out in the open tests the rider every now and then, but only needs to be told once or twice and he knows. He's suitable for experienced young riders, or adult riders (up to maybe 65kg), he’s a strong wide set boy who is fine with carrying an adult. He had obviously been allowed to get away with things in the past and hadn’t been taught manners. We have him with a friend riding him. She’s been having a great time of him, and just took him to an open rodeo day (rodeo is not his strong point but they had fun). He was fine around other horses. Loves to jump, and great on the ground. Very safe around his legs with little ones. Not flighty. Floats really well, and pretty good with his feet. He was in shoes when we got him but he’s barefoot at the moment and fine. A very heartbreaking sale as purchased for my 3 young girls and he is not a suitable pony for beginners as thought when we viewed him. He is a real heart horse. Just not the right one for what we need at the moment Pick up location:Bamawm VIC PLEASE NOTE : Andrew Wilson & Co only acts as an agent between the vendor and buyer and as such can give no advice as to the suitability or compatibility of the horses on offer in our auction.
