NAME: Bandit
BREED: Welsh
SEX: Gelding
HEIGHT: 13hh(Not measured)
AGE: 2.5
DOB: 22/03/2022.
Bandit is a sweet natured boy who will eventually make a great Child's pony, harness pony, or be suited to a small adult.
He's currently around 13-13.1hh unmeasured and expected to make around 13.2-13.3hh.
Bandit is a purebred Welsh pony, sired by Andelain Tobias (registered Welsh section D) and out of an unregistered Welsh mare of 12hh (photos of parents included). Bandit can NOT be registered Welsh.
He is a palomino and could potentially be registered with one of the colour societies like Dilutes Australia. His DNA colour test (digital certificate) will be included in the sale.
Bandit is easy to catch, lead and handle. He's not fond of the farrier and only gets his front feet trimmed, he will adamantly refuse to have his back feet done. That said, he is quite good at keeping them short and tidy on his own, but someone with better knowledge and experience could work with him on picking up his hind feet. Bandit isn't a kicky or bitey pony, his only fault is refusing to get his hind feet trimmed and he may kick out if you don't accept his initial shake off, he's otherwise very calm and sweet. He's been floated twice early this year and walked happily straight into and out of the float without any drama. He's been wormed at the start of this month, but looks like he could do with a follow up, I have some Equest + tape that I'll do him again with. He was last done for tetanus and strangles in January with Equivac 2 in one. Farrier was last done on 23rd of August.
The ponies have all been out in the paddock with limited handling over Autumn and winter and are in typical messy, shaggy, coat shedding, paddock condition. I've included photos of him from last summer to show how dark Bandit goes with his lovely black dappling.
Scars: Bandit has a small tear/split in his left nostril that was sustained as a foal, prior to coming into my care, the cause is unknown and the wound had completely healed before I got him. it is noticeable where the nostril flares and shows this gap.
I'm moving on several of my ponies through no fault of their own, I simply have too many and can no longer physically or financially keep up with their needs and care. Especially with the younger ones that still require additional feed and further training.
Pick up location:Marnoo VIC
