Description |
Morse Knife Original Plate used in the Creation of Perino's Book - Selected Preforms, Points, and Knives of the North American Indians. Gregory Perino was a highly respected authenticator and Author of Native American artifacts, particularly known for his expertise in lithics (stone tools). He began his work in the 1980s and became the first individual to offer consulting services for authenticating flint artifacts in the United States. Perino’s reputation was built on his extensive knowledge and ethical standards, which earned him significant trust within the artifact collecting community.
Perino also contributed to the field through his work at notable archaeological sites such as Spiro Mounds and Cahokia, and institutions like the Gilcrease Institute of American History and the Red River Archaeological Museum. Selected Preforms, Points, and Knives of the North American Indians - This multi-volume series is one of his most well-known works, detailing various types of stone tools used by Native American tribes.

1. All items being sold are attempted to be accurately described as possible by auction staff. All items are being sold as-is. Bidder is responsible for determining condition of each item prior to bidding and takes sole responsibility for interpretation of the items they are bidding on.
2. Items are being offered with a 30-day money back guarantee if deemed to be described wrong. Contact us immediately with any questions or concerns of authenticity. Items will need to be returned within 30 days in the same condition as sold before a full refund plus buyer's premium will be sent to the bidder. At no time is the auction company obligated to pay more than the sale price plus buyer's premium for returns. Any other expenses will be the buyer's responsibility.
3. All items offered will be sold to the highest bidder. Auctioneer has final say and judgement of the auction. All sales are final, and no bidder can revoke their bid. The auctioneer has the right to correct himself before and during the auction and has final judgement over all disputes.
4. There will be a 15% buyer's premium added to each item purchased. A 10% buyer's premium will be added to in house bids. Items not paid for in a timely manner will be reverted back to the auction company to be sold again in a later sale.
5. Any announcements made day of the sale take precedence over previous catalogue information.
6. All items in the auction were found and obtained by legal means.
7. All bids are the buyer's responsibility. A successful bid is a legally binding contract. Auctioneer reserves the right to revoke and suspend a bidder from attending and bidding in an auction at any time. Auctioneer and staff reserve the right to bid on items within the auction.
8. A 3% payment collection processing charge will be added to the invoice at the end of the sale to cover credit card, Live Auctioneers, or PayPal fees.
9. Purchases may be subject to Sales Tax according to State and Federal requirements at the time of the sale.
10. The Card on file will be charged as soon as the invoice is created for the auction. This will speed up the time it takes to get your items shipped to you and make the payment process effortless on your end.
