AUCTION FORMAT
Pre-bidding will be available until each lot becomes available for live bidding. This is a timed online Auction with a staggered close: Auction lots will close in a staggered format beginning at scheduled start time 30 seconds apart.
In the event that a bidder places a bid in the final seconds, the close of that particular lot will be extended by 30 to 60 seconds. Please be prepared to bid prior to, or when your desired lot is active as the lots will close automatically and in order on a pre-determined schedule. Ensure that your internet connection is stable as we will not be able to pause the auction. BIDDING CAN BE DONE ON OUR ONLINE BIDDING PLATFORM AT https://specialtymerchantsgroup.hibid.com/
BUYER’S PREMIUM, REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
Buyer’s Premium is 16% for cash/check and 19% for the following payment methods: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover or Paypal. A valid credit card is required in order to confirm bidder’s identity and will remain on file. Payments must be made before the end of business on the Friday following the Auction. No items will be released until the funds clear. If payment is not made by the end of business on the Friday following the Auction, the card on file will be charged automatically at 19% Buyer’s premium.
SALES TAX
6.625 % New Jersey Sales Tax applies at this auction. Bidders who provide a valid NJ ST-3 Resale Certificate will not be obligated to pay sales tax.
PICKUP
Pickup is available during the day and time listed in the auction details. All items must be picked up only during these hours. Please contact the Auctioneer if you anticipate any issue with the available pick up time window(s).
In the event that shipping is requested by the buyer, shipping requests should be made by emailing us at dennis@specialtymerchantsgroup.com or by phone at 973-271-6881 on or before the scheduled pickup day.
All shipping costs will then be added to the item total once calculated. They must be paid in full prior to the shipment of any items. If you believe that you will require shipping on an item, we encourage you to contact us prior to the auction in order to discuss potential costs.
Items purchased during this sale must be removed during the pickup hours unless previously arranged. If they are not picked up during that time, there will be a charge of $5 per day for 21 days, at which time the item will be considered abandoned and resold. Monies paid will be forfeited by the buyer and considered payment for storage

ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD ‘AS IS, WHERE IS’ WITHOUT WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE. Please inspect all items carefully before bidding. There will be no re-bids or rebates after an item is sold. Specialty Merchant’s Group and its Consignor make no representations or warranties, express or implied, with respect to the items or the accuracy of the catalog or descriptions therein. We will do our best to assist with answering your questions regarding the condition of an item, but please be advised that this information is our honest opinion and not a guarantee. By registering for this Auction, you are agreeing to all terms and conditions and will be held liable for items purchased.
No returns or adjustments will be made after the auction. Bidders who elect to pay their balance by credit card understand an additional 3% convenience fee applies and agree to relinquish any and all rights to charge backs.
LIABILITY
All persons attending, inspecting or removing merchandise assume all risks whatsoever of damage or loss to person and property and specifically release the Auctioneer and Seller from liability therefore. Auctioneer and Seller shall not be liable by reason of any defect in condition of the merchandiser premises on which the sale is held. Auctioneer at his sole discretion may require insurance and/or the use of a commercial mover/rigger based upon the level of difficulty removing a piece of equipment.
Additional Terms of Sale may be announced by auctioneer on day of auction and a bid signifies acceptance of these Terms of Sale.
