Construction: The F48AA68A50 upgraded condensing fan motor is made of high quality steel, copper, aluminum and plastic for rugged durability. The motor has three wires, plus a green ground wire - all going into a plastic 6-pin connector. This connector can be used, or cut off and wired directly. Function: An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. In HVAC systems, motors typically turn air conditioner fan blades and blower motors for furnaces. Newer high-efficiency motors, such as X13 and ECM motors, have "end caps" to control motor speed. These can be removed and replaced separately. Replacement part number: F48AA68A50 & S1-024-35819-000.
