Fine cased pair of English flintlock pistols by Philip John Bond, gunmaker and sword cutler (45 Cornhill, circa. 1794-1816). Cased set of two pistols complete with accessories in a heavy carbine .65 bore. Original brown finished round steel barrels marked (P. BOND. 45 CORNHILL. LONDON). Each barrel struck on the left side of breech w/ a 'CROWN' over 'GP' with-in an oval (Gun Maker's PROOF), a 'CROWN' over 'V' (viewed) and a 'CROWN' over 'PB' (Philip Bond). Very fine engraved locks in mint condition w/sliding safety's and marked (engraved); "P. BOND". Solid wood stocks. Period replacement German silver trigger guard and butt caps depicting a lion's face. Original silver shield shaped wrist escutcheons. Accessories include a 3-way flask, bullet mold, cleaning rod w/built in turn screw, flints, balls, patches and tow. Original period English box with repaired and restored interior of period correct English green baize.

fading brown finish to barrels. One stock with a crack to the wrist and repaired for use in the period. Mounts replaced.
