About the Artist
M. C. Poulsen (b. 1952, Akron Ohio) and moved to Cody, Wyoming, when he was thirteen to work on his parents’ 15,000-acre cattle ranch. After serving in the Marine Corps, he studied art at Arizona State University in Tempe, then dropped out to study with his neighbor and renown Western artist James Bama. His love for Art and the West evolved from working and painting the people he has met and the scenes he has observed throughout the years. Early in his painting career, Poulsen painted landscapes, still lives and figurative scenes but after he discovered Western paintings by Charles Russell, he decided to focus on Western Art. Poulsen exhibited a one-man show at the Capitol Rotunda in July of 1992 in Washington, D.C. and was the first Western artist to exhibit in Russia as part of a cultural exchange.
Today, Poulsen’s art career spanned over 45 years. He participates annually in shows and exhibitions across the country, including those held by the Autry National Center in Los Angeles; the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming; the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana; the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art in Indianapolis. His work is featured in galleries in New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah, California and Arizona.
His portraiture work has led him to commissions for the Pentagon, The John Hopkins Hospital, The Smithsonian Native American Museum, LDS Church Museum, Brigham Young University Museum as well as numerous private commissions from prominent figures across the United States.
Inspiration is what Mike Poulsen life, and his art are all about. Revealed in his paintings is a sensitivity, honesty and accuracy born of uncommon experience with a lust for life.
Poulsen continues to live and paint in Cody Wyoming, where he and his wife have built their home on some of the original acreage owned by his family ranch.

CRC is a non-profit organization that provides development screenings, early intervention, special education & therapy services to children birth through 5 years of age. All services are provided at no cost to families! Annually CRC provides over 1,000 developmental screenings and provides direct services to more than 500 children and families across 4 counties in the Bighorn Basin.

No Reserve
All lots will sell to the highest bidder without reserve.
No Buybacks
All consignors are prohibited from bidding on lots they have consigned to the auction.

Tax
The current rate for Park County, Wyoming is four percent (4%). However, this is a Benefit Auction and there will be no tax.
Payment
All Payments will e recieved by Children's Resource Center and any form of payment will be excepted. Swenson's Auctions is not handling payments.
Inspection Dates and Times
All personal property in this auction is available for inspection on location according to the schedule below.

Pickup
All items must be picked up from their current location on Thursday November 21st, 2024 10:00AM-4:00PM or by appointment. Items are Located at 1302 Beck Ave. Suite B. Cody, Wy. 82414. Pickup Time is from 10AM-4PM.
Shipping
No Shipping Available unless there is a shipping icon. Shipping arrangements are to be made by and at the expense of buyer for eligible items.
Auction Ending
Beginning at the stated closing time (November 20th, 2024 at 6:00 PM MST), the auction software will conclude the bidding for each item in catalog order every 10 seconds with the following exception: if a bid is placed in the last two (2) minutes remaining for that auction lot, bidding for that lot will remain open for an additional two (2) minutes. Some lots may be grouped together so that a bid on one lot will extend the time on all lots in that group. Make sure bids are placed from Live Catalog page in real time & Not your watch list, the watch list does not refresh quick enough to see all open lots.
Debt Collection and Interest Charges
The buyer agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and other costs incurred by Swenson's Auctions in its efforts to collect unpaid funds from the buyer. The buyer agrees that a fee of 2% of the outstanding balance per month be added to any unpaid balance due Swenson's Auctions. Any debt collection or dispute proceedings will be heard in Park County, Wyoming.

Limitation of Liability
If, for any reason, Swenson's Auctions is unable to make available or deliver any Purchase, or portion thereof, or documentation required in respect of any Purchase, the sole liability of Swenson's Auctions, if any, shall be the return of monies paid in respect of such Purchase upon its return by Purchaser.
Age Requirement
All bidders must be 18 years of age or older.
Bidder information and Security
All registration information the bidder provides to Swenson's Auctions shall be current, complete and accurate. All bidders are responsible for any bids placed under their bidding numbers and passwords. The security of bidder information is the responsibility of the bidder. Bidders must notify Swenson's Auctions if they believe that their bidder number and password have been compromised.
Tie Bid or Uncertainty
In the event of a TIE BID or any uncertainty as to offered last and highest bid the Auctioneer has a right to resolve any such at the time by accepting the Bid that the Auctioneer believes is in good faith and was the last, highest and best bid. Auctioneer may open the bidding between the parties at his discretion and option and such decision will be final and binding on affected parties.

Swenson's Auctions reserves the right to resell any property not paid for in full by the conclusion of the stated pickup period. In any such event, the Buyer will still be responsible for payment for the original purchase and the costs of collection of this payment and/or damages resulting from the resale of the property.
